Just a quick update to all of those who were kind enough to participate in an interview with me during Drupal Downunder 2012 to explain what's happening with Drupal Yarns.

Things have changed considerably for Nick and myself, both of us have accepted permanent positions with PreviousNext, Australia's largest Drupal Firm. As a result Rowlands Group has effectively wound down all activities.


Getting Views Bulk Operations working with Draggable Views.

In Drupal 6, Views Bulk Operations and Draggable Views defined views style plugins in order to deliver their respective functionalities. While this is great it meant you could only have one or the other, not both.


Accessing user's Facebook Photos and Albums with Drupal

One of the options for is for users to choose from their Facebook Photos and Albums for the front of their postcard.

In this article I'll demonstrate how to use the Facebook Graph API from Drupal to access user's details from Facebook including, but not limited to, their albums and photos.

Getting Started

To get started you need the fbconnect module. The module has a fairly involved install process that includes:


Remote Menus for Ext JS

Ext.ux.RemoteMenu is a menu that add some new config options to menu items namely

  • store
  • staticItems
  • labelField
  • loadingText
  • itemIcon/iconField and
  • clickHandler

The menu initially renders with the default loading animated gif and the passed loadingText.

When the menu is shown the store loads and the items are added from the store.

When the menu item is clicked the clickHandler is called with one argument, the record from the store corresponding with the clicked item.

Tooltips on form fields for Ext JS

By default you cannot have tooltips on form fields using Ext Js.
This is because by default tooltips are used to display validation messages.

To override this and use tooltips to display user help you first need to turn off this default behaviour as follows:
